About 296 JEFFERSON SOLD
296 JEFFERSON STREET
In 1914, Billy Shields, a successful Brookville lumberman, finished construction of one of the best examples of an Arts & Crafts Mission Style home in western Pennsylvania. Billy wanted large rooms and a modern open floor plan for his new show house, and a large wrap-around porch. Billy had also saved the best Quarter Sawn White Oak from his sawmill for the interior coffered ceilings, paneling, and floors, and installed a top of the line bathroom and kitchen.
For the last sixty years most of the interior woodwork was covered in layers of paint. Now, one hundred years later the property has gone through a top-to-bottom renovation that incorporates the best of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
It is now SOLD.
